1. Purpose

Chatgpt Lag Optimized is a browser extension designed to reduce browser-side lag in long ChatGPT conversations by limiting the amount of conversation history rendered at one time.

2. ChatGPT conversation data

The extension accesses ChatGPT conversation response data only to perform its optimization functions, display local statistics, and provide controls such as loading older messages or restoring the full conversation.

ChatGPT conversation content is processed locally in the user's browser. It is not sent to the developer, the license server, Gumroad, or advertising services. The developer does not store ChatGPT conversation content.

3. Local extension data

The extension may store the following information locally in the browser:

• Optimization preferences and display settings.
• Widget position and collapsed state.
• Per-conversation optimization status and statistics.
• A randomly generated installation identifier.
• The user-provided license key and locally cached license status.

4. Pro license verification

For Pro license activation, validation, and deactivation, the extension sends the user-provided license key, the randomly generated installation identifier, and extension version information to the developer's Cloudflare Worker.

The license service verifies the purchase with Gumroad. Gumroad may return purchase-verification metadata such as sale or order identifiers, purchase status, and refund or dispute status.

The developer's license database stores only the data needed to enforce the license:

• A cryptographic hash of the license key.
• The installation identifier bound to the license.
• License status.
• Order identifier, when available.
• Activation and last-validation timestamps.

5. Third-party service providers

Cloudflare provides the license API and database infrastructure. Gumroad processes purchases and verifies license keys. These providers may process network information, including IP addresses, under their own privacy policies.

6. Data use and disclosure

Data is used only to provide the extension's conversation-optimization functionality, maintain settings, and verify Pro license entitlement. The developer does not sell user data, use it for advertising, use it to determine creditworthiness, or use it for purposes unrelated to the extension.

7. Data retention and controls

Local extension data can be removed by clearing the extension's storage or uninstalling the extension. A user can deactivate a Pro license from the extension, which removes the active device binding from the license service.

8. Security

License requests use HTTPS. Administrative credentials, Cloudflare API tokens, and private database credentials are not included in the browser extension.

9. Children's privacy

The extension is not designed to collect personal information from children. It does not provide or promote age-restricted content.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the extension's functionality or data practices change. The current version will remain available at this public URL.
